Join us for a private cultural screening and discussion exploring the artistic and spiritual connections between Tang Dynasty China and early Heian Japan — a period that shaped East Asia’s shared aesthetic and philosophical heritage.

This event presents a visually stunning cinematic work produced over five years by an international creative team. Combining meticulous historical research with innovative film technology (AI + CG), the piece recreates the grandeur and meditative beauty of ninth-century East Asia, reflecting on how Buddhism, cultural exchange, and creativity transcend time and borders.

Following the screening, invited scholars from Harvard University and Boston College will join members of the creative coordination team for an open conversation on Buddhist art, cultural hybridity, and transnational dialogue.
