We asked and you voted!
In our 4/22/20 Newsletter, we asked your help in deciding the menu for the online cooking class and believe it or not, an equal number of you voted for onigiri/ball sushi (手まり寿司) and omurice (オムライス)!
Join Yuko, our Managing Director and a mom of two, in the kitchen to make onigiri rice balls and ball sushi(手まり寿司) on Friday, May 22nd!
Onigiri or rice balls are a real staple in the Japanese cooking and yet can be the most inventive of all Japanese cuisine. Learn how to make classic onigiris like plain salt onigiri and salmon onigiri while also adventuring into different fillings such as tuna mayo, cheese bonito and camembert edamame!
Unlike onigiri, which uses plain steamed rice, ball sushi(手まり寿司) is actually sushi, which means we'll be using sushi rice (rice with vinegar, salt and sugar). Watch Yuko make a very simple ball sushi using smoked salmon!
