In our 4/22/20 Newsletter, we asked your help in deciding the menu for the online cooking class and believe it or not, an equal number of you voted for onigiri/ball sushi (手まり寿司) and omurice (オムライス)!
Join Yuko, our Managing Director and a mom of two, in the kitchen to make
omurice (オムライス), one of Japan's most loved dish on Saturday, May 30th!
Omurice(オムライス) is probably one of the best known yoshoku(洋食) or Western-influenced style of Japanese cuisine. Omurice is the marriage between the Western omelette and the Japanese rice. It is as much a loved dish at home, something you remember your mom by, as it is a professional dish prepared by the chefs of a yoshoku (洋食) restaurant. Come learn omurice a la Yuko style as omurice probably is slightly different from household to household!!
