Film - Resistance At Tule Lake

Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 2:00 PM

Morrison Theater, 100 Newbury Court,
Concord, MA
01742

This documentary tells the long suppressed story of incarcerated Japanese Americans who defied the government by refusing to swear unconditional loyalty to the US. Those who protested were branded as “disloyal” by the government and packed into the Tule Lake Segregation Center. The film was directed by Japanese American filmmaker Konrad Aderer. The screening is free and open to the public. Please note: The Morrison Theater is located in a retirement community and parking may be limited. Car-pooling is suggested. This event is sponsored by the New England JACL and Newbury Court.
