MASAAKI SUZUKI, Japan's brilliant Bach specialist, conducts the Boston Symphony Orchestra in 3 performances of Bach's St. John Passion (1749 version).

Masaaki Suzuki is the founder and conductor of Japan's internationally celebrated early-music ensemble Bach Collegium Japan. Boston audiences will remember the historic performance of Bach's St. Matthew Passion, performed by Suzuki and the Bach Collegium Japan, presented in April 2003 by the JSB and the Boston Early Music Festival as part of
BCJ's debut American tour.
