Guitarist Hiroya Tsukamoto’s “Cinematic Guitar Poetry” will grace the PACC Concert Series on Sunday, February 25th at 3 PM in the Sanctuary of Park Avenue Congregational Church. This guitar music takes listeners on an innovative and impressionistic journey filled with earthy, organic soundscapes that create a mood of peace. An artist’s reception in the Parish Hall will follow the concert.
Originally from Kyoto, Japan, Tsukamoto received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in 2000 and came to the US. Since then, he has been performing internationally as well as making several appearances with his group at Blue Note in New York and released six albums as their leader. He also performed and appeared on major television shows internationally such as NHK (Japanese National Television) and EBS in Korea.
