The MFA presents a unique evening of Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock prints, pinstriping, and tattoo designs as they explore the myriad ways in which Japanese design and aesthetics have informed, shaped, and inspired creative works. Presented in conjunction with “Showdown! Kuniyoshi vs. Kunisada.” 

Presenters include:

Chad Koeplinger, tattoo artist

Kenji Nakayama, artist

Sarah Thompson, curator for Japanese Prints

Ticket, available at the MFA or online, are required for this event.
