The Mass Peace Action Faith Communities Network invites people from congregations around Cambridge to come together for a remembrance of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on Sunday, August 6th at 11:45am on the Cambridge Common. August 6th marks the 72nd anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.This will be a brief 15 minute program which will include a time of remembrance as well as a celebration of the recently adopted U.N. Treaty Prohibiting Nuclear Weapons. The meeting will take place near the memorial in the center of the Cambridge Common.
Following the program, you are also invited to take part in a “Peace Picnic.” People are asked to bring their own food for the picnic, and Mass Peace Action will provide Iced Tea and Lemonade. For more information, please call 617-354-2169
